AFM offers many different styles and sizes of controllers including single, double, triple and customer specific. All controllers are available in solid state, variable, and rheostat and come in 120 or 240 volt and 50 or 60 Hz. Optional controllers are offered for use in conjunction with part sensors, optics, and proximetry switches. Customers can specify at time of quotation specific controllers of choice.
Conveyors deliver precise part confinement resulting in improved feeding of parts (dry or oily) with varying tolerances. They can be purchased tooled or untooled and are available in a variety of lengths and widths. We use many different types of belts including but not limited to long wearing polyurethane, cleated belts, hinged steel belts, and O-Ring belts. Specialized conveyors such as gravity roller conveyors, step conveyors, and quenching conveyors are also manufactured and can be an asset to your automation application by increasing your part recovery speed.
We specialize in vibratory inline conveyors. (Please see the Inlines menu item.)
Vibratory inline conveyors can be utilized in production cells allowing parts to travel from individual stations to a centralized area for assembly, inspection, or sorting etc...
AFM is pleased to offer a variety of storage hoppers and vibratory trays, which compliment your feeding systems by supplying a constant level of parts over a long period of time. Our storage hoppers come in a variety of sizes and styles. Sizes range from 1/4 cubic foot to 10 cubic feet and styles include standard or straight front profile vibratory hoppers, floor hoppers, belt conveyor hoppers, and elevator hoppers. Storage hoppers are constructed of 11 gauge mild steel, 304 stainless steel, or (medical/food) stainless steel.
Storage hoppers and vibratory trays can have a specific design characteristic for a particular type of environment and application. Units can be fabricated to suit particular space confinements (i.e.) custom discharge heights, altered discharge tray lengths, and low profile units.
Several types of finishes are available for delicate part handling including but not limited to Teflon, urethane, and Brushlon. (Please see our coatings section in the menu)
Other options offered are an electronic limit switch which is used to maintain a predetermined optimum level of parts in the feeder bowl, custom-specified paint, and a quick dump for easy operator part change over. All hoppers are available in 115 volt/60 Hz or 230 volt/50 Hz.
